Happy Birthday Buddy!!
I met you at the Nashville NAMM a couple
of years ago. I was talking to Joe Wright
and turned and there you stood. I was so nervous that instead of asking for your
autograph, I asked you to sign my name.
I'll never forget the grin on you face.
Thanks

Happy Birthday Buddy..........
I never got to see you or meet you, but had my chance (tickets, hotel & air were all booked for Thanksgiving in Las Vegas). I hope someday to again have that opportunity. Until then I will continue to play my vast collection of your recordings.
You are the greatest!

If Buddy had never recorded another song after Nightlife he would have left a legacy.
That one song made "believers" out of so many western-swing steel players of that era who had previously thought that "pedals" were a gimmick to be used only for "country licks". A tip of my hat to BE on his birthday. www.genejones.com

Happy Birthday Buddy. March 3rd I'll be 70 and a while back a much younger person said, Isn't It depressing to going to be 70 years old. I said not one bit, It's just my body that getting older, In my mind I'm only 24. I enjoy life, my wife and getting up every morning more every day.
And you already know how much I respect you, and your playing.

Happy Birthday Buddy!! I would like it to be known that once upon a time you were almost human! It was in 1962 in Porum, Okla. maybe the farewell song of the night.
I can't remember who was playing lead guitar as I was there to see you. The guitar kicked off Arkansas Traveler at a pretty good clip. I can't remember if a fiddle was there but each time it came around to you they speeded up. You were on C6th and It actually got so fast that Buddy Emmons right in the middle of a ride threw both hands up and had a big laugh. I have thought about that many times over the years. It was going VERY fast and Buddy was still very young. Happy Birthday Buddy, you are the very best!!!!

Hey their Buddy!
A GREAT BIG SUPER COLOSSAL HAPPY BIRTHDAY to you, Mr. Emmons, from way out here on the left coast.
No idea of how old you might be but all the pix of you that I have show a very young man..... Photo's don't lie...
My early 1970's Emmons P/P.....is still going strong and every time I sit down behind it to pick and/or strum, I feel your hand on my shoulder.
AGAIN...HAPPY BIRTHDAY to YOU....from Jerry Byrd's No.#1 Worldwide Fan.

I gotta join the group. Happy birthday, Buddy. I've never met you but you've spent thousands of hours with me on your records, tapes, and CDs. I've had to replace a couple of the LPs...I played them so much I wore them out! I doubt if any musician has meant so much to the development of a single instrument......what an instrument, and what a musician.
