who played steel on Watson's someone's child

Post by Marty Holmes »

This is some very beautiful work consisting of the "F" knee lever, and the b&c pedals.Just curious who played on this cut because after all it is very pretty, and my favorite Gene Watson song.

I'd be very surprised if it weren't Buddy Gene Emmons.

Since the mid-90s, Buddy Emmons has done just about all recording with Gene with the exception of several cuts on the album "In Other Words" which were done by Weldon Myrick. You would be correct in assuming that Buddy played on "Child."
