I was starting to think I'd be spending New Years Eve at home or watching someone else play this year. . .But today I got a call for a NYE Gig.
I'll be with my old former band "The Country Masters" at Mary's Saddle Club, Hwy 41-A Bypass in Clarksville, TN. Combination of New & Old Country with a little Southern Rock mixed in. I'm planning to take my little black 66'Emmons S-10 P/P (the late Harold Fogle's Guitar). I'm also gonna get to try out my new Takamine EG330 Guitar when I sing. We'll be playing from 9:30pm till 1am. Come by and party with us if you're in the area.
Drop me a post and let me know where you're scheduled to play NYE. Nick

I'll be at Coyote's in Cartersville, Georgia with Darrin Robbins. Darrin was the front man at Cowboys in Kennesaw, Georgia until recently when he got a deal with a label in Atlanta. Peachtree Station opens the show at 9pm. We go on around 11pm.

I play 49 weeks a year with the Country Village Band, staff band of the Country Village Restaurant in Tickfaw, Louisiana, near Hammond. It is a Christian Supper Club and the website is : www.countryvillage.com
We will be closed that weekend and hope to get together and just socialize. We never get that chance! But, I'm sure someone will pull out a couple guitars, mandolin, and harmonica and sing in the New year! I think I'll stick my dobro in the trunk just in case!
I wish you all a Happy and Blessed New Year!
Reggie

Robert's on Broadway, 6-10. Debating whether or not to hang out til midnight. Kenny Chesney's playing across the street at Gaylord; hope he doesn't hurt our crowd.
(Smiley's mystery gig pays more than mine.)

I was a little disturbed to find out we'd be playing for the door at Bull & Dees New Years Eve Bash in Warner Robins, GA. But this last saturday they had a Christmas Party and it was hard to get in the place. Over 50 cars outside and 100 or more people inside. Now if they all come back for the NYE gig and pay a $10 cover we'll make out pretty nice !! We are right next door to Robins AF Base and there is a different kind of attitude this year with the war and all that going on. A lot of units from the base have been tasked in the Enduring Freedom Effort.

Regards, Paul

I will be playing at Fiddlers Catfish Restaurant in Tontitown, Ar. It will be a non-alcohol dinner picking party where many of our Little Ole Oprey fans will be there.
The band consists of only acoustic guitar, electric bass and steel and is a very fun way to play. The bass and guitar players both sing. We will have many of the acts from our Oprey show there to do some vocals as well as my wife who is a very good singer.
Happy New Year everybody.
Jerry

This is the 1st New Year's Eve I have not played for 35 years--visiting my daughter in Edmonton Alberta--I play lead guitar, fiddle and harmonicas on our gigs, my wife Joyce plays bass, we have a steel player, Floyd Spicer, the brother of the late Gary Spicer. Gary used to work around the Ottawa valley area and toured with the Family Brown and Wilf Carter. Our band is not very active now, we used to play every weekend but the gigs are not as frequent these days and the urge to drag out all that gear is not as strong, but it's still fun to get out and play now and then.
