Travelling music

Post by Tony Prior »

Before travelling this week I pulled out two oldies ( vinyl) . Ray Price Cherokee Cowboys re-union and Buddy and Shot, Aces back to back. Made cassette copies of both for my big Plane ride up to the Big Apple. If you have not listened to Buddy on the ACES album lately it may be worth re-visiting once again. IF you have never heard Buddy on the Aces album then your Steel life is nowhere near complete..The melody an octave under is mind blowing ....Oh yes, this Sho-Bud album sounds a little Push Pull to me....

( Hey Bobbe, if your reading, care to comment on Buddy's axe on this record ?)

TP

I just had to add this, after listening to the ACES album of classics, one can only draw the obvious conclusion, this album is Sooooo Buddy ! And don't forget Vasser on fiddle.. If you're looking to see how the classics are played with melody and lead lines, this is it...

Geeze, just when I thought I had Crazy Arms down pretty good........thanks alot "E".....
[This message was edited by Tony Prior on 26 November 2001 at 06:52 AM.]

[This message was edited by Tony Prior on 26 November 2001 at 06:55 AM.]

Don't forget the INCREDIBLE Sho~Bro playing by Shot. THis is one of my favorite steel recordings.
