Steeler for the Pres?

Post by Bill Nauman »

I heard on the news yesterday that a band call the Ranch Hands were to play for our President at his ranch. George W. Bush is entertaining the Russian Pres there..Just wondering who would be the Steeler if any? Herb Steiner must know the answer to this question.. Bill in Vegas

Nope, I dunno who got the gig. I would have taken it, though.

All the Fort Worth paper said was that a western swing band would perform.

Could it be Tom Morrell and the Time Warp Tophands?

Not unless he changed the name to the "Ranch Hands" for this performance.

I'm just glad it's western and not Fleetwood Mac!

Okay, I found out last night. Ron Knuth played fiddle with Johnny Bush last night and he said that the gig at Crawford was an acoustic western gig fronted by a guy named "Carl" and that Lynn Daniel played upright bass and Ron played fiddle. The other two guys, including Carl, played guitar. No steel or drums on this one.
