Bobbe should write a book

Post by John Russell »

Tommy Detamore posted that Bobbe should write a book, given his intimate knowledge of our instrument. I can't second that enough! I dunno, maybe it's been tried before and deemed not worthwhile but it may sell. I bet Bobbe has boxes of great photos from the "good ol' days." Not to mention great stories. I'll help you with the spelling Bobbe. By the way, I'm an unemployed editor.

I love you Leroy! Even though you make my sides hurt! And every place else when I fall down laughing! Write a book? Well, having been raised in a steel guitar family, Uncle being a pro player, Father owning a music store and teaching music in collage,Grand parents and mother all music teachers, and me in the pro end of the business for years,(none of your bis how many),I 'spose with my 100% (Total) recall, I could possibly ,with enough motivation, do a history book on steel guitar, since I was there when it all happend , with my eyes wide open. Just having trouble figuring out what the motivation would be! I think this would be an intresting venture for all. I can think of enough funny stuff to make a New York city phone book look tiny! OK guys , talk me into it.

John, yes, I do have a lot of great photos of may great stars (steel and otherwise) that I took while on the road in the '60 and 70's. I was a real photo fanatic, Nikon and Hasselblad with lenses everywhere, A lot of never seen pictures. You have me thinking now,(not that easy to do!). Thanks for your vote. Come to think of it, Buddy Emmons was and is a real photo nut and has millions of great pictures no one has ever seen. I'd like to go through his collection someday, bet it's great.
Anyway, -------I'm thinking!

UUUUPPPS! I did not see the enough part on your post , John. Image

No with all serious aside what a book that would be. Not just about the steel, but think of all the great players bobbe has know and could write about, or maybe not.

Everyone thinks Bobbe has enough material for a book. I know he has a photographic memory, but I think he's out of film! Just kidding, Bobbe, put me down for an autographed copy.

Hey Bobbe, just remember that great line from "The Man Who killed Liberty Valance":

"When the legend becomes truth - print the legend".

Definitely get those stories down on paper! Life is short; you never know when a '66 Sho-Bud could fall off a high shelf right on your noggin therby depriving the world of your genius. I can already visualize's a copy of Bobbie's Bestseller paperback. Profounded knowledge of the life and time's of Bobbie Seeless includeing photo's.It will be indorsted by Mike Weirauch, with a ten dollar coupon on the back of the book .This will knock off the price of a headstone at your gravesite if you deal directly with Mike.

I can see my book setting right beside the toilet,,,,,,,Yeah that's gonna be some good toilet reading stuff. On those days when it appears I'm costipated ,I'll just reach over for Bobbie's book and read. The laughter alone should get thing's back to working.I can hardly wait..
