Sorry for the off-topic intrusion, but I know that MANY steel guitarists are keenly interested in astronomy, and RIGHT NOW there is the Perseid Meteor shower going on. If the sky is clear enough where you are, go out in the pre-dawn hours (starting now) and look about 50 degrees above the horizon. If the sky is clear and the moon is not too bright, you should be able to see up to 60 shooting stars per hour. Should also be good viewing for the next few days, again in the few hours just before dawn. Happy hunting. (This has been a public service announcement. We now return you to your regularly scheduled program)
Jim,I thought that I saw something in the sky last night but it didn't appear to be a shooting star...could it have been Uranus?
[This message was edited by HowardR on 12 August 2001 at 08:55 AM.]
