BobbeSeymour's Live CD

Post by Lyle DeHart »

I just recently received Bobbe Seymour's Live CD and I gotta tell ya I love it. It is so refreshing to hear good ole pure country (along with a coulpe of nice bluegrass tunes). The playing was done very tastefully and Mr. Seymour had a good song selection on his CD. Sometimes I get a CD or tape (I don't own too many) by a great steel player and I wind up being disappointed because the artist puts in so many runs, riffs, and other things that it is over my head, (this doesn't take much)and the tune gets lost altogether. I do "admire" and "appreciate" a lot of the picking and playing on those tapes and CDs but it is so nice to sit down relax and just soak in the pure good ole country songs that I can follow along with and relate to. Thank you Mr. Seymour for keeping it country and making the songs on your CD great for easy listening. I would recommend this Live CD by Mr. Seymour to anyone who enjoys hearing some good country steel, played the way it was meant to be played. Thank you.

The only thing 'wierd' about Bobbe's talent, is the way 'that finger' is always pointed at you...Bobbe has, always, the best pure tone anywhere, and plays authentic chords--where they belong. Melody is impeccable, tasteful, and well thought out. All this, and he is without a doubt, the best dang thumb-stylist out there. Goofy, crude, caring, smart, slick, and absolutely hilarious...you gotta' love a package like that. I'm proud and happy to call him my friend. Bobbe....take a bow!

I agree completely about this CD. I've listened to Maiden's Prayer about 100 times and I'm still not tired of it. It's the timing more than anything that kills me. Wish Bobbe would do another.

Does anyone know if this was recorded in a factory or not.

Mike you did not tell me the copy you sent me was a bootleg copy. I should have know when you used a pen to draw a picture of Bobbe at his steel.

Well it's still or is steel, a good record.

Mike; How much is the bootleg copy vs the regular? I'm on a fixed budget since I retired.
