Hello to all Forum Members,

I've been at it for a year and half now, here in New York, and have enjoyed reading all your threads. It's been very enlightening. Especially enjoyed a player's nightmare gig story where his Twin got stuck on the stage curtain and got hauled up when the show started. That just about put me down.

I for one, feel the steel is an instrument with far too much expressive power to be trapped in one genre, and with Bob Hoffnar's guidance am working at bringing it to non-country fans here in the city. Must be working, because I play in 5 bands.

My personal project is to use the steel as the primary instrument in a trio, and sing while playing. Not easy, but worth a try. Anyway thanks to all for the great information, and look forward to your posts.

Gerald, you are certianly welcome here. So set back and enjoy. This is a great bunch to talk to and each will help in any way they can. I've been playing for 52 years and they still teach me something every day.
