Has anyone ever recorded the great Bacharach tune 'Alfie' on steel ?
Also, does anyone know where I can get the chord list for this song ?

Unless someone on the forum has a chart, here's your best bet ... http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/search-handle-form/102-1578224-8902539
[This message was edited by Andy Volk on 15 July 2001 at 07:25 PM.]

Sorry, I must have linked to a temp page on my own PC. The intended link was for the book: The Songs of Bacharach and David
by Burt Bacharach Paperback - January 1999)
Amazon.com has it on sale for $11.96.

I agree wholeheartedly, Mick. I think he's a brilliant and original writer. A lot of very good musicians think so too but I've also read that some others just don't get what the fuss is all about. Guess that's what makes horse races. Jerry Douglas recorded a great Dobro version of "I say a little prayer" about 20 years ago and I always dug Wes Montgomery's version of "What the world needs now" on his album "Tequila".
