If Aliens Produced a Pedal Steel Guitar

Post by Kenneth Kotsay »

O.K., big deal I don't believe in any of this UFO stuff, who in this solar system would take the family along on a vacation to planet earth, just to buy T-shirts for the gang at home, buy two get one free? Give me a break.

BUT..............what if there were space aliens, who just so happen to have country music on their planet some where beyond the stars. They would need a pedal steel guitar right!. Now the question is, what would their pedal steel guitar look and sound like. Imagine their sound system.......yo!!!!!!!
Beam Me Up Peavey...............

Wait a minute, come to think about maybe there are aliens, I just had some thoughts about Joe Wright and Jerry Wallace (Jerry lives 35 miles from "ROSWELL" NM).
Get the drift about these two steel players.

DO-DO-DO-DO-DO-DO-D0-D0-DO-DO-DO-DO-DO

So guys lets hear if from you all, what would the alien pedal steel guitars sound and look like.

KEN (I refuse to be abducted, I have a fear of flying especially going around in circles, besides they probably would serve you those roasted peanuts in a bag)

what do you mean "if?"
The PSG is such an other-worldly concept for an instrument, I believe it is an extraterrestrial import...as are many of it's proponents Image

as my dad said that fateful September morning:"pay no attention to those flashing lights in the sky Deputy- we gotta get my wife to the hospital...she's in LABOR!!!!!"

Well Kenneth and Dave ,let me say this about aliens /Roswell,NM..The crash occured in 7/47..I was born here in Artesia {35 miles south} in 9/47..I have heard from reliable sources that the incubation period for aliens is about 60 days. Image

Now some of the debri from whatever crashed did land here in Artesia..I admit I have had strange sounds in my head all of my life..The Pedal Steel most closely imitates these strange sounds and note patterns..That is why I chose this instrument to play..

I have a set of finger picks made from the recovered metal from that crash..I can stomp on them, heat them red hot with a torch, throw them in a vat of acid, lay them on a railroad track and they always come back to their original shape..

So draw your on conclusions..I never have considered myself an alien,,a little strange and weird, YES..But in my opinion, anyone who picks the Pedal Steel guitar as their instrument,is also a little weird /strange..

One more thing,I still have some of this alien metal and I can custom make anyone a set of indestructible, gaurrented for 1000 years, finger picks, for only $500,000 per set..I'll also throw in some "ocean front property" here in NEW MEXICO with each set... Image Image

I imagine it would have a "Krell metal" body, and "neutronium" changer! And, whose band would feature it? None other than "Darth Brooks". (LOL!)

But, gettin' serious for a moment...pedal steels must be "alien" because so few people (singers) really believe in them.
