Yes, it took a while... that is i finally got around to buying it. It is another enjoyable performance by John Hughey and players. A different selection of songs than you normally hear...which is a pleasant change. A high quality production that i would recommend for personal listening or gift giving.

#6,The Waltz You Saved For Me,I get cold chills when I hear him play this one.
I still think of Bud Issacs when I hear it,
like every other steel player/lover had the
78RPM when it came out.
You need to get John Hughey,it also has some great stuff on it,had the privelage(sp)of meeting with Mr and Mrs Hughey in Saluda SC,as fine of folks you will ever hope to meet.

Thanks John for giving the world your beautiful music.

Thanks Guys, I just came to the `putor and was just considering which C.D. to buy from John`s latest mailed list that came through this week.
I think I`ll be choosing the "Neck To Neck" one. You made the choice although it was a toss-up wheather or not it should be "On Or Off Stage" - that`ll be my next choice in the future....
The "John Hughey" C.D. is permanently being played in the car, especially good for going to a "job" - Sweet Memories does it for me.

You can't go wrong with any of John's records.
Great guy . . . great music.
Don't miss the opportunity to check out 'On and Off Stage', however -- great tune selection, superb arrangements, dynamite musicians. But it's John Hughey -- what else would you expect???? Image

Bill,
I have John Hughey already. I think Neck To Neck is a little more laid back. Not the same tension as the first CD. I'll be looking to get On and Off Stage sometime in the future.

Oh yeah, Bill, it takes me about a month or so to peel back the layers on any CD i buy. But i always get chills when John Hughey hits those highs.
