Looking for another M.I.A. ...Barry Glen from Lansing Mi

Post by forrest klott »

Hi all,

Maybe one of you know's the whereabouts of a steel picker from Lansing Mi by the name of Barry Glen. Now I know that's not his "real" last name, but that's what he goes by on stage and I can't spell his real name. Used to be with The Kikker Band up till sometime in the late ninties and then they split up. I'm assuming that when the band split he woulda moved back down here from the The Sault where their gig was, but I'm not positive on that. If someone knows where he's at, I'd really like to get back in touch with him, and if you're on this forum, Barry, CALL ME!!

Thanks!

Skeeter, The last that I knew the "Bear" was still living in the Soo and driving truck. He and Rick the drummer stayed up there when the Kikker's broke up. They tried to put another group together working at the Casino for a while. I have a phone number that I'll email you. He used to monitor the forum, but had a "Mac" and couldn't figure out how to work it. Ha,Ha! Also Jack Venzlaff at the Hiway Inn in Hillman may know where he is, They were very close. The last email addy I had for Barry wasn't working. If you're at the picnic and I make it we'll have to chat.

Real name is Barry Gokee. Originally from Ovid, MI. Used to race stock cars. Friend of mine. Glen Gokee was his dad, that's where the Glen name comes from. Last week I was at the Soo and the opening act told me Barry was probably still in the area but evidently not gigging right now. The Kikker band was together for many years and had a very tight sound. Hope someone can pass the word to Barry to chime in here.
