Tuner Buttons
Many of the instruments I see for sale have buttons that need replacing. Where do you get them and how do you replace them so they'll stand up to tuning pressure? Thanks-Jeff

I got some replacements from Scottysmusic. I did some research here on how to do it. I decided to heat the shaft up and press it on. I was able to take the tuner off. I was surprised how much heat it took. The problem for me was to get it where it belonged in one push. You get no second chance. Gluing is another option. There is plenty to read if you do a search here. Good luck, Ron

WD Music has a pretty good selection, although I'm still looking for someone who has more acceptable substitutes for the old Bakelite buttons.
