Lap steel challenge

Since I am to lazy to steal licks here's a challenge for all of you so talented steel guitarists. I want to perform a solo for the HCC Guitar Orchestra recital this spring. I have choosen Acker Bilks' "Stranger O The Shore". It is written for clarinet and I will be using Amaj low bass Oahu acoustic steel guitar. The tuning is EAeac#e' or 515135 any way you cut it. The tune is in Cmaj and is a AABA. I need a chromatic run 8 bars long to bridge the the BA part and finish with the A an octave above the start. It should begin on the g note (the 3rd of the C chord) and end on the 1. You can youtube the song for reference. Something simple and jazzy. Post your ideas and have fun. Thanks.

1. I'm a little slow to understand the terminology in use here. What do you mean by "Bridge" the BA part and finish with the A an octave above the start?

2. Starting on the G note the 3rd of the C chord ? the 3rd what ?
It's the 5 of the scale and the top note of the first inversion. The 3rd of C is E.

3. And end on the 1, the melody is on the 5.

A chromatic run 8 BARS long is like an interlude of another melody, do you mean 8 BEATS ?

And finally, is there any particular reason that you're doing it in the wrong key ? It's written in Bb.

I'd dearly love to contribute and help, if you can elucidate. PLEASE.

Please forgive my feeble attemps at humor and music. I am not that lazy. I have 7 pieces to learn for classical guitar plus a duet and I was hoping to get some help with this arrangement. No my dad was George. Thanks basil I will email you my sheet music. I am looking for eight bars to add before the second ending as an improvisation. I would like to bring steel guitar to classical setting so people who have never heard one can enjoy what we already know.
