Stopped in a used record shop- a new one to me... and found a gem... "Jerry Byrd Steel Guitar Favorites" in mint condition. Paid a measly 8 bucks for it. He is standing on the cover with his Ricky B7.
Its been on my turntable since I got it. What a great old record. Anyone know if this is on cd anywhere??
Most if not all the tunes are recorded elsewhere on other disc I have, but this is just a great collection of soem hot numbers.

As far as I know, JERRY BYRD had only a couple of CD's; a Xmas album and then just before his death, a reissue of HIGH FI STEEL GUITAR. Scotty at Scotty's Music in St. Louis would be my first stop if I were you.
Good Luck! Happy to hear your like JERRY BYRD. You have visited his FAN CLUB web site, right? |

He put out 'By Request' on CD, his last studio effort, well before he left us.
One of his best. |

Just got back from Japan a few weeks ago and they've got most of Jerry's stuff (I picked up a bunch of the Mercury LPs on CD) remastered in CD format. Perhaps you could find a CD import specialist. |
