I have tried a couple of times to view videos from links in members' posts, and they always have been unwatchable; not that they don't play at all, but they start out fine, then freeze every few seconds, for a few seconds, then resume, freeze, etc. Obviously, it's impossible to enjoy them like that! Any hints? I am using Firefox, with Norton Internet Security, SpySweeper, and ZoneAlarm firewall running (Norton firewall and Windows firewall disabled). Brint, you have to give them time to download on your computer. I'm assuming that you have a dial-up connection. Let them dowmload until the grey is all the way over and then start the video. Hope this helps you. Ray

Try this:
You notice the light gray bar with the darker gray bar following it, under the picture? The light gray bar is the file downloading, and the darker one is the file playing back.
Let the file start to play and then take your mouse pointer and drag it (the dark gray one), back to the start. Keep doing it, and eventually, you'll have enough of the file downloaded, so that the light gray bar stays ahead of the dark gray one.
Fool around with it, you'll get the hang of it.
Les

Thanks, guys. Actually, I have high-speed cable internet. The download seems very slow, but at least they work now. |
