Can anyone help me?, I have instant messenger
which is part of "AOL" I am unable to receive and "alert sounds" to let me aware of when someone is sending me a Instant Message. AOL tells me they dont have tech support regarding this issue. I have tried everything to no avail. Anyone????

Another good reason to FIRE AOL..I did, and I'm much happier now with SBC DSL..Thanks to Our friend Wiz's advice.

Joe Thank you I have a dial up modem. How can I access Instant message with dial up?

At the bottom of the IM box is preferences. Click sign on/sign off. Here is where you can choose to hear when buddies sign on and sign off. I use a knock for entering and a door slam for leaving. I can add you when you get it sorted out, just email me your IM name. Hope this helps.
