My computer will not play a DVD. Will not read the disk. I'm running Windows XP, I have Real Player,Dell Juke Box, Windows Media player and others.Do you have to pay to download something to get a DVD to play? Thanks..........bb |

Bobby, you didn't say if you had a DVD player on your computer. You can't play a DVD in a CD player. Don't know if this helps or not! Ray

You know.I don't know. It's a late model Dell. 04 I forget the series. Just a mid grade puter.I just assumed the d drive would play either a CD or DVD. Wrong I guess. Guess I'll have to look for da book. Rats. I hate when that happens....Thanks..bb |

If it came with a DVD-ROM you will also have a DVD player program such as WIN DVD or Power DVD.
Download the Belarc Advisor www.belarc.com and run that. It will profile your hardware and software and you can see what you have. |

Not sure it came with a DVD-ROM. It's a little older than I first thought. Maybe a 01 model.It has a D and E drive. Can't find the manual.I play CD's in the D drive.What's an E drive for?? Thanks....bb |

OK it is an 03 model. The E drive is to burn a CD from a CD. The thing is.You have to first down load your master CD to the computer then burn it. So the E drive is worthless the way it's set-up. Thanks for the help guys..........bb |
