Mark Russinovich, owner of Sysinternals, has just released version 1.60 of Rootkit Revealer. It is available for downloading, by advanced, experienced Windows Teckies, at: http://www.sysinternals.com/Utilities/RootkitRevealer.html

If you have this tool in your troubleshooting arsenal you should upgrade to the new version.

The Sysinternals.com Rootkit Revealer Forum is here: http://www.sysinternals.com/Forum/forum_topics.asp?FID=15&PN=1

Rootkit Revealer exposes files and registry entries that point to files that are hidden from the Windows API. Sometimes these are legitimate files and folders, and sometimes they are hostile. One must either learn to interpret the results or else solicit help from the Rootkit Revealer Forum, at www.sysinternals.com
