DMA memory

I am using record now to record to CD and DVD and I keep getting errors that say I should enable Direct memory access. Can anyone please tell me how to do it? Your help is greatly appreiciated...

Here is a link that may help. It's different for different Operating systems. http://www.real-knowledge.com/dma.htm

Generally, Windows XP defaults to DMA, older operating systems do not and you have to set it for the drive(s).

Thanks very much for the good information I tried it and it worked. Maybe I can help you with something someday. Where are you in relation to Miami ?I was stationed at Opa Locka for three years during the 1950's...

No problem, glad I could help. I'm a retired "computer techie" but still do part-time PC support.

I'm on the Gulf side, about 60 miles north of Tampa and about the same distance west of Orlando.

Relatively a long way from Miami (or Naples). All we got out of Wilma was about 2 inches of rain from the hurricane's outer bands.
