Is sucess spoiling Firefox?
One of the things I loved about Firefox was the lack of Pop-up and drop down ads.
Now is seems that they too, allow all the crap that Internet Explorer did.
I guess my "love affair" with Firefox is coming to an end, and I must say, that it causes me grief. That browser made me very happy for the last 10 months or so, and once again the old adage rings true, "Money is the root of all evil".
Dang ...

According to my website's statistics, 25% of all visitors are using Firefox,- that's pretty wild! Perhaps musicians and other 'artistic' folks are more inclined to use Firefox over Explorer, I don't know, but it is obvious that Firefox is becoming so successful that we must expect the "bad guys" to be targeting it more spesifically than they used to.

I second Garth's recommendation to install the Adblock extension and would also add the Filterset.G Updater extension.

Hi Will:
I was able to tunn on the Adblock extension and tried to add the Filterset.G Updater extension, but when I attempted to open the file, the computer needed to know what application to open it with.
Can you help me here again?
I am amazed to learn about features like this, and realize you guys flat know your stuff.
Thanks again for the great tip!

Jim, save the extension to your harddrive, and then in Firefox's menu go to File, Open File... and select the saved extension.
Unfortunately they didn't setup the link to automatically prompt to install the extension. I think message board system that was posted on didn't allow the tags necessary for the installation prompt to occur.
