Doesn't the electricity run a little slower in Arkansas than here in OK?
You could always reinstall Windows.

Lavelle, when you say you play a song on your computer, what do you mean? Is it being played in a cd rom drive, or is it some type of audio file being played with what program? |

There are known problems with Dell's that the speed of the audio playback will be off. In those cases, the generic Windows drivers were installed in place of the Dell audio drivers and reloading the Dell supplied audio drivers usually takes care of the problem.
I don't know if that is the case with yours. As mentioned, the Operating System, type of sound card, what type of audio files, etc is needed for someone to assist you. Not to be a wise guy, but more than "it doesn't work" is needed, as there are many different configurations, types of audio, etc. |

The deck that I use to transfer tape to my computer runs "Fast". So, if we could just get our euipment together, the end-result should be a correct speed!

What type of PC do you have (and if you know what CPU) and Operating System. Also what type/model sound card?
I've never heard of one being that slow. Have you checked the PC for viruses, splyware, etc? |

Hi Lavelle,
I have RealPlayer 10, and under "Tools", "Preferences", there is a "Hardware" tab that mentions speed problems. If you have this version, check it out and try adjusting them.
I don't use RealPlayer unless I have to. I prefer Windows Media Player.

Hi Les (and everyone!) Is Realplayer 10 better than Realplayer One was? "One" was full of ad-ware and spyware, I've been using Real Alternative instead.
Sorry I don't know anything about the speed problem... |
