Got this one twice this week. Let me guess: he'd want to pay me with an extra large check and ask me to send him a check for the balance due, probably something like $25,000, right...?

Hello
I am looking for an experienced, friendly teacher who can teach my kids how to play E9/C6 pedal steel guitar and the basic theories for Beginners.I need you to answer the following questions to be sure that i get the best learning environment for my children and also make sure that the teacher is right for them. 1.Provide me with more details about yourself and 2.Cost of the programs.(8 week program, consisting of 5 days a week.and 2 hours per day]. I will arrange for their accomodation near your location, the guardian that will take care of them, and their plane tickets to come down for the program.Perhaps they're learning the E9/C6 pedal steel guitar so that when they go for a degree course they would be familiar with the instrument, they will be able to understand easily and this will be an added advantage for them.At this beginning i will need you to teach them in a conducive environment.I will like to know if the proposal is ok with you, then I can arrange for the payment immedaitely here is the Full details about my kids below.......
1. Name - Kevin & Daniel markie
2. Age - 16 & 17
4. Hobbies/Interests/Talents - Singing, dancing and watching movies
5. they are quite and nice boys

Jim,
I have been getting those for months now. I was thinking about screwing with them but I waste to much time on the computer as it is.

Here is the same scam, with overpayment and refunding money actually mentioned, forwarded to me on July 20, from one "David Mark" email address - david_markie2005@yahoo.com
quote:

Thanks for your nice message.It's
great that i hear from you again and for the
information given me.I have chosen you as the STEEL GUITAR instructor for the children. I am okay with your charges $200 per day for the two kids($1,000 for
1 week) for both children. I will arrange for their home stay, guardian and visas to come over to the States for the classes. As regards payment, this is what I am going to do,i will instruct my attorney in the U.S to issue a state certified check in your name.
Although the value of the check is more than your charges I think, I should be able to trust you with the remaining balance. The reason why I am doing this is that it would take a check sent from over here 60 days to clear over there, whereas a check sent withing U.S would clear tops within 24 hrs. So I will expect that you send my balance to my agent immediately you recieve payment for your tuition so that my agent can be able to arrange for their travelling documents to
the states and accomodation for the programe. So if my terms are acceptable to you, I would like you to give me your full name, contact address and your phone numbers so that I can instruct my attorney to make out the certified check to you. Pls get back to me as soon as you get this mail so that I can know my stand. Have a great day.

Thanks again for your consideration!

David markie
