I've been digging through the biab lit. Is it possible to download each track to a wav file???In other words, I would like the ability to separate each instrument and then mount it on a 16 track...Any Ideas??? Thanx

I no longer have BIAB, but I'm sure it will export the song to a MIDI file, which you could break down into individual tracks.
I have done this in n-Track Studio, by immporting a MIDI file, and muting all but one track, and recording that to a .wav file, then on to the next, and so on. Then you can delete the MIDI track when your through. Tedious, but it works. I'm sure there are many other ways, once you get it into MIDI format.

Jack, you could probably do it but you would have to render each track individually to a wav file. e.g. turn off everything except one instrument, render that to a wav file, then do the same thing with each individual instrument. You would then have separate wav files but you would then need a program that has separate tracks and would allow you to resync everything so all the instruments would be back in "time".
The other option suggested with a MIDI file and a computer program that will allow you to use a MIDI file and separate them apart it probably a better approach. |

I have downloaded BIAB files into seperate wav files, to the extent that all the pcs of the drum kit are on seperate tracks.
It's been awhile, so I've forgotten the exact details, and I use Cakewalk ver 9 as my main sound program. I'm not sure how the wav download works with other programs. |

| PG Music, the makers of BIAB, also sell PowerTracks Pro. I've exported BIAB files to PowerTracks Pro and they are automatically set up into separate tracks for all the midi voices. Big Jim can advise you further. |
