Is it possible to scan pic negatives with reasonable results????
Or is there a scanner which has these capabilities.

| Joe, you need a scanner that's set up to do negs. The Epson StylusPhoto 820 (and probably others) comes with an attachment for scanning 35mm negatives. |

| To get really good results you need a dedicated negative scanner -- not just a jig for a flatbed scanner. Negative scanners do atleast 1600 dpi and some do 4000 dpi or better. Those resolutions are non-interpolated numbers. If a flatbed scanner lists a resolution about 600 dpi, it is likely doing interpolation and actually scanning at 600 dpi. I used to use a Nikon negative scanner back in the late 90s and was quite happy with it. |

I jsut did a project with the EPson 4180 and it did a wonderful job. I was scanning really old slides to make new prints of them and they looked great. I think its around $199.
