Display Adapter

I just bought a gateway 9100 laptop,it's been on lease it works good except for the Display settings.I can't get the settings up to 800x600.I have a old 9100 that is not working that has a good Display Adapter in it but I don't no where the Adapter is.does anyone know or can tell me where I can get the info I need such as a repair manual?

Try going to Gateway's support sight and downloading the display drivers for your 9100. My guess is when it came off lease the hard drive was blanked and the tech neglected to install the drivers.
If you have the disks that came with the laptop from Gateway, they would also have these drivers on them. Hope this helps, John
