Mp3 Downloads Not Playing Back Completely

Post by steve takacs »

Just had a new Apple G4 computer setup with an OSX operating system and have downloded each of the MP3 clips on the Rebel,. Ricky, and, Jeff site (THANKS AGAIN GUYS). The problem is that when I go to the "I Tunes" library, where the clips are stored, and play one, the last 5 seconds of each clip is cut off and the next clip starts to play. Then the second clip loses its last five seconds and a third clip starts and loses its ending etc., etc. When I play one directly from the Rebel site though, the clip plays in its entirety. The problem only surfaces when I attempt to store and then later play a clip. Could I have downloaded each of these clips too fast with the result that when I punched into each successive download, the previous one was not yet finished? Any ideas of what to look for would be appreciated. Also, does anyone know how I can get "I Tunes" to play only one clip in the library completely and then stop instead of cycling through all the clips automatically? The Apple manual is in Chinese (and I do mean real Chinese not just ""computerese"....I'm in Beijing). Thanks, Steve T
[This message was edited by steve takacs on 17 January 2004 at 07:06 AM.]

I don't use iTunes, but it sounds to me like it has a fade-in feature that you need to disable. It's a feature that is useful for DJs to prevent gaps between songs.

Congratulations and thanks a bunch, Peter, You hit the nail right on the head. On "I Tunes", I went to Preferences, Effects, and then disabled the "Crossfade Playback" by uncecking its box. Now each clip plays all the way through. I appreciate you taking the time to answer, & I also thank b0b for this Forum. Please close this, b0b.
