Printer/Scanner/Copier advice needed

Post by Mel Culbreath »

I am interested in buying a combination Printer/Flat Bed Scanner/Copier. I don't really need one with fax capability, but would consider a combo that includes fax.

My PC has Windows XP Home and two USB ports not in use.

I would appreciate any advice as to which Brand/Model to buy. I have been very happy with my HP 722C Deskjet Printer, but would look at other brands too.

Also, if anyone knows of a place on the Internet where I can read reviews of these things, please let me know.

Thanks for any input.

Two weeks ago I bought an Epson CX5400. It costs 150.00. It is a great multifunction printer, scanner, copier. It uses 4 ink tanks which makes for great color pics, Ink is priced 10-12 bucks a cartridge.Bottom line, good machine and pretty cost effective.

Wal-mart sells HP products. I purchased a HP All-In-One for $149.95 I am very satisfied with it. Go to Wal-Mart website and you can get the descriptions and features there.

I recently bought a 3 in 1 Epson CX5200.
The resolution is outstanding. It prints beautiful pictures. I really like it. I think I gave $129.00 for it with the rebate from Office Max.

I just have a basic Epson color printer, but if their other products are as good as this, have no fear.

My Lexmark X75 all-in-one works fine. They're about $75. CLICK HERE for links.

Thanks to all for the good info and advice. I plan to sort it all out after Christmas and let my wife "surprise" me for Valentine's Day.

Whatever printer you buy, it's a good idea to get one that has a separate cartridge for each color. Some of them even tell you when the individual cartridge is getting low on ink.

Office Depot has a printer you may like. It's an HP PSC 1350 ALL-IN-ONE Printer, Scanner, Copier. It sells for just under $150. It's quite compact at about 15 inches wide.
