MPG (MPEG) files on VCD, DVD??? help needed

I have tones of MEPGs on my HD and I like to play them on my DVD player. Is there a tool to convert these files to a media)and if which media is it)that my DVD player would handle?
Is there a free downloadable tool?

Try this site . It is like the sgf, but for VCD. There are also tons of articles written on this subject at the site.
