Outlook Express preview pane

Is there a way to disable the preview pane in Outlook Express v. 6.0? I had a tussle with the PE_NIMDA.A-O work a couple days ago and I think that's where it came from.

I can use OE to check my hotmail account using the HTTP server connection and specify to download only file header info (sender, subject) mut it won't download the message unless I specifically ask for it. There does not seem to be any way to do this using the POP3/SMTP account; that option isn't there.

Lou--this is for OE5. See if it works for your 6----

In OE, go to VIEW>>>>LAYOUT>>>PREVIEW PANE and uncheck "show preview pane".
