After giving my new ISP Localnet.com high marks for service and value i now find it necessary to downgrade my rating. I got an email bounced back to me after 3 days. From what i can tell it was not sent out properly. Now i wonder how many emails i'm not getting through this service. How does one know? I never have to doubt my WebTV mail service, it is impeccable. But how in the world can i test the reliability of my ISP? How do you know if your's is working well? I can't afford to miss email as i have many domain name accounts with various registrars. It is critical i not miss an email. As an example, i was recently solicited with a large bid($) for one of my domain names. Had i been using my ISP for email i might not have received it. Any opinions on this subject?

Most of the bounce-backs that I see have a problem in the address that *I* sent it too. Sometimes if a remote server is known but not responding, I will get repeat warnings for several days. This is fairly standard procedure, I believe.

Email is not guaranteed by anyone, though. Lots of times people type my email address wrong, and the message goes into the bit bucket at bob.com (wherever that is) instead of coming to me at b0b.com.
