I took my ancient and road-weary Nashville 400 to Ken Fox last week - I'd heard how his modified 400 sounded when I tried one of his Telecasters a few weeks back, so I took the plunge and made a small investment....
This amp is now unbelievable!!!!
If someone would have suggested that I'd enjoy playing a Tele through one of these 400s, I'd have called him crazy, but now I'm a convert! It's indescribable, so I won't try, but if I was doing a 'blindfold test' on this amp, I'd be convinced that I was going through a high-end 'boutique' amplifier of some sort.
It's like a tube amp now! Plenty of edge, but with great warmth; my LeGrande sounds terrific and I can't wait to set it up for my next theatre-gig! As long as I can persuade someone to help me carry it, this'll mean one of my NV-112s will be relegated to the Practice Room!
Great service as always from Ken - there's a guy who knows amps; many thanks from a happy picker....

Thanks for the testimony, Roger! I still can't believe the difference myself. It is hard to describe completely as you have said.
What a great amp and even better after the mods. I can't say I have ever seen a better constructed all transistor amp as the Nashville 400. It is a dream for a tech to work on, if it ever needs repair!
Next time you come through, Ruth and I have a room ready for you! Let visit a bit and pick some old Teles!
