Hello,
A few months ago Tommy Cass worked on my Emmons D-10, among other things re-installing the stock single coil pickups. We tested the E9 pickup, which gave us a reading of 14 K, quite a bit lower than the C6 pickup. After taking the steel on a few gigs and sessions I think I need a higher output pickup on the front neck, and was wondering if anybody rewinds old Emmons pickups or might have one reading at about 16-18 K that I could buy. Thanks for letting me know.
Best,
Gerald
p.s. Tommy does fantastic work and is a really great guy. He put a lot more time than we bargained for into my steel, and really made it play and sound great.
