For anyone who happens to be in the area and have an interest. If you're looking for caps, tubes, etc. you'll probably find it here.

The "show" basically rents out the wing of a hotel, and each exhibitor/vendor sets up their stuff in a room. I went last year, and there was only one guitar amp maker. Most of the other exhibitors were for very high end expensive tube home stereo/speaker type stuff.

Most people have no idea what the high-end home stereo market is like! Want to spend $25k on a 20-watt amp? No problem, there's dozens in that price category. $10k apeice for speakers? There's tons of them, too. Over $10K for a decent preamp (remember, you need two)? Plus, there's also high-end turntables you can easily drop $5k-$8k on, too. For about $150,000 you can have a very nice home audio system.

The (very rich) audiopliles have plenty of choices when it comes to impressing their shallow friends with their financial capability.

A Wall Street Journal article several years ago spoke of home stereo systems in the $300k-$350K range. Those "sophisicated audiophile" buyers only use turntables, CD's are looked down upon as being too crisp.
