I have a friend that is looking at a 84 Nashville 400 that looks to be in pretty good shape. My question is, did they all need the Mod change and if it hasen't been done how do you tell if it needs it ? also how expensive is it for the change ?
Thanks

I've done the mod on both the original models (like the 84 you are looking for) and to the later ones.

I couldn't tell any difference after I did the mod to the older model. The only thing the mod will really do is upgrade the Op-Amp IC's to the new Burr Brown model.

Check this recent thread from the Electronics section (where this thread will wind up). http://steelguitarforum.com/Forum11/HTML/008633.html

Jack,
Thanks so much for your quick response to my questions. All the posts were very informative. I'll have to try the Amp out if he buys it.
