How are you guys using the PRE?? Lets us know how you set all the knobs including the Vari-Z and the bright and dark switch. So far i like most of my settings close to 12:00 and the toggle switch i9n the middle and the Vari-Z from 10:00 to 1:00 For some reason i cant seem to hear a lot of change with my color knob. Maybe i need to go see the ear DOC. What do you all think? Give us a little detail. THANKS!!!

Gary,
I think you have a major problem with your Revelation.....You should send it to me for a 30 day evaluation ....I will then send it back to you and let you know what's wrong with it ....No charge for you Gary ....It's the least I can do !!..... ....Jim

Hey, I'll get a hold of one of these pre's one way or the other !!....

Hey Gary. I like to start with the tone controls at noon and then tweak. Some models have a different taper on the treble pot so their center point may be closer to 3 instead of 5 like on yours. I've found that when I'm at a gig, I'll dial in the right eq for the stage and acoustics and the band mix and pretty much leave it set for the night. I usually leave the Color knob at 12 noon until all the others are tweaked. Then I use that for final voicing of the mids. Once that's all dialed in, the knob I spend the most time with is the Vari-Z. For dark and mellow and fat, I'll turn it down a bit. To be clear and to cut thru, I'll turn it up to around 3 o'clock. I can do a whole gig now just using that knob and the FX control.

Gary, what speakers are you using? What pickups?

Brad

I just got home from Dallas via Canada yesterday and haven't had a chance to set mine up yet (Thanks for having it ready for me at Dallas Brad) --- I will let you know what I think once I have had a chance to set it up in my rack and play with it a bit --- I'm really looking forward to that!

Can now add me to this list of owners. I received a unit today and after going through a couple of weeks fighting other Preamps, this one is a breath of fresh air. It is everything it's proposed to be. Great job Brad.
