It's about time

Post by Cindy Cashdollar »

Two new discoveries to share, although Forum folks are always up on the latest, so I may be way late to the party here....have been away from my computer for awhile..

Andy Volk and John McGann's new book "Joaquin Murphy / Classic Western Swing", a wonderful collection of transcribed solos along with great tuning info. ( thank you Herb Steiner and Michael Johnstone), commentary and discography references.

Fender's Custom 15 amplifier....a Fender Twin with a 15 speaker....warmth, punch, tone and headroom, love it.

Thanks, Cindy!

One good plug deserves another so check out Cindy's great steel and dobro work on tour with Ryan Adams this Nov. & Dec. ... including 11/12/04 at the Riviera Theater in Chicago, and 11/18/04 at the Pageant Theater in St. Louis.

b0b - thanks for adding our book to the forum catalog.

John and I are hard at work on a new transcription book of non-pedal solos from players in all-genres. Stay tuned.
[This message was edited by Andy Volk on 08 October 2004 at 07:00 AM.]

Cindy, I have your western swing videos and was wondering if you will be putting out another set to go over the other tunings on your Fender triple neck that you didn't get to cover in the first two videos. THANKS, STEVE

Cindy -

When can we expect some transcriptions of the great stuff you played with AATW? Also, I just ordered 'Slide Show' - can't wait! Image

I rec'd my copy of John & Andy's book a few days ago and it's pretty cool!

Don

PS - Cindy, please come to Minnesota!

Hey Cindy,
Do you still keep in touch with John Herald?
I haven't been in touch for many years.
I used to do "sound" for him a long time ago.
He was a great song writer...
It's amazing that he hasn't "connected" somewhere in the "music market".
