I have a chance to buy a Peavey bandit 112 for $175.00. I know nothing about these amps, is it worth the money. I see they sell new for a lot more than that. This one, I haven't seen, but was told it is in excellent condition. |

I used 112 Bandits for years. Had one slide out of the back of the truck at 55mph. It looked bad but still worked great. Good little durable amps.

I have 2 of the Peavey Bandit 112's and they are very good amps. I have had mine a long time and have not had a problem with either one. I also have a Peavey Nashville 400. If you can buy the amp for $175 and it is in good condition, I say go for it. |

Benny, I have a Bandit 112 that I have used for a practice amp for steel guitar. It sounds very good. I don't know how it would sound on a job. They were designed for lead guitar.

The later Bandits (75 watt?), have a less pleasing steel tone than the original 65 watters, in my humble opinion.
I can get a usable steel tone out of my Bandit 65, when I tried a later era Bandit I found it to be very 'middly'.
It's horses for courses, the Bandits are aimed squarely at six-string plank bashers ! |
