Every so often someone needs a Profex II card to reload settings on a Profex II, Tubefex or Transtubfex. No one needs a card very often. The thought occured to me that we could pitch in and buy a card from Ken Fox, Bob Knight or someone who has a spare. The seller could hold the card until someone needs to borrow it and the seller could mail it to the borrower. The borrower use it and keep it until someone else needs it and it could be sent to that person and so on. The card would be owned by members of the Forum. Each time a person borrows the card he could send a donation to b0b to help with the Forum expenses and no one would have to buy their own card. If someone has a great preset he could replace one of the not so good ones on the card and share it. We would need someone who has an extra card to post an offer to sell it to us and we could send that person a dollar or two and keep tabs on what was sent until it is paid for. Is this a good workable idea? Any thoughts?

Excellent idea Jerry.
I, in fact have a card that I will donate. You can be the referee of this project, as we need someone to keep tabs on the location of it.

I remember years ago when Jeff Newman had an article in the Peavey magazine. He said that if you bought a ProFex II with the card, you could send it to him and he would send you one that was programmed with all the steel presets and also include a video on how to use the ProFex II. That was a good deal!

The idea it there and that is where I end my involvement other than helping pay a part of the purchase price. I see no need for the card to be donated and I think an honor system would work in this "family". Most are still going to want their own card but for the guy who need only an ocassional use of a card I think it would be worthwhile. Someone else take it from here if you think it is something we might want to do.

Great idea, and thanks to Bob Knight for his generous offer!

That same card will also work to load Newman settings into a Bassfex, Tubefex, Transtubefex, Session 2000 or TransFex Pro amp.
