extension speaker question

I have a 60 watt 4 ohm extension speaker, if it plugged into the extension speaker jack of a peavey classic 30 (amp speaker is 16 ohms)will it cause any problems???

Seems like manufacturers usually expect you to plug an extension in that has the same impedance as the internal stock speaker. Other than that, all bets are off.

It's based on ohm's law, that's all.
