hi guys.
I need some assistance/recommendations on how to remove a speaker from an older Fender amp I have.
I removed all the screws holding the speaker to the baffle, but it looks like the speaker is stuck to the baffle (maybe by a gasket).
Any ideas on the best way to finish the job?
I was thinking of trying to use an old guitar string - somehow thread it between the gasket and the baffle and then work my way around the speaker until it comes loose.
thanks,
mark

Grab it and pull!
You didn't say exactly why you're removing the speaker, but if the gasket tears, it's not a big deal. Just put the speaker back in the same orientation that it was originally. If it'll make you feel any better, you can scrape off whatever's left of the gasket and glue it back on the speaker before you replace it.
