I've posted before about these amps but they sound so good I have to do it again. They're no longer made but they're a small combo amp with a single 12" Black Widow. I believe they're 120 watts switchable to 60w or so. They have 4 of the 6L6 power tubes but everything else is solid state. These little amps weigh a ton but they put out a ton of power. I had one before but I sold it and used my Fender Hot Rod DeVille 2-12 for lead guitar. I recently found another one in a pawn shop for $150 and picked it up as a spare. I took it to a gig and it totally kicked the DeVille's butt in all categories. I don't know why they quit making these little beauties but if you see one in a pawn shop, yard sale, flea market, etc. and can get it for a decent price don't hesitate! They're a great amp. Also they sound great for pedal steel....JH in Va.

Same for the old Peavey DUECE. Tube power section and solid state preamp as I recall. About the same size and weight as a TWIN with two 12 inch speakers. Back in the eighties I used one and thought it kicked my twin's butt. Great amp...(lost it in that messy divorce thing in 86. I have been looking for another one of those DUECES ever since.

I wanted a hybrid amp out of curiosity and bought a Classic with two 6L6 output tubes and love it, the amp now has a 15" BW and cranks, the twelves sounded grat as well, and very affordable, really great amps for the $
