Does anyone know what the impedance of a Fender (Cool trap. coil shoud be. Is it between 7 & 8 thousand ohms?

Many thanks in advance, Rick

That impedance was factory specifications. I had Jason Lollar wind mine at 11 thousand ohm and they reallk sound great..John Bechtel had Jason do the same on his Custom and he loves the sound.. 7 to 8 is correct foe original traps....

Thanks this is Post 4645.

Rick;
I’ve had (6)-Traps wound by Jason Lollar at around 11,000 and they are great. If you have more than one-neck, I would recommend having them all rewound at the same time by Jason Lollar.

Many thanks Jody and John. The cores I have (2) are in excellent shape. I believe I will have them rewound with a few more wraps.

Rick;
When you send them, just cut the wires and send them still mounted on the Chrome-Plates. When they're returned, all you have to do is splice the wires back together and remount the plates on the proper necks.
