It is random at first, then the nut backs all the way out and it really whacks out. Let me know if that is the problem with yours.
Hard to get at that nut. I had to remove the ribbon cable and back off the display screws to tilt it back. It can be done, just takes TLC.
A low battery allows the memory to scramble and usually results in "DSP Error". Take a look at the battery when you have the top off, make sure it is not leaking.
