Peavey Amp

Post by Bob Morgan »

This question might be best to ask Mike Brown.
I am using two Peavey Nashville 400 amps and a Peavey Pro Fex II. When I turn them on I get a loud several loud pops and also when I turn them off I get a loud pop.
Is there anything I can do to stop this. Sometimes it is not so loud and others times it is VERY loud.

Thanks
Bob

Turn the profex on first, then the amp. When turning off, turn the amp off first.
Or turn the gain control off on the amp before turning on or off.

Hello,Bob

I have the same problem with my Nashville 400, and I think the problem is the powercap’s C 63 & C64 ( 4700uF 55volt ) and C66 & C67 ( 1000uF 35 volt) are bad, I did not have the time yet to replace them but as soon as I have the replacement caps I will let you know the results
