Brad, I have your BB and it works great
night after night with no problems.
I am considering getting a new Goodrich Super Match-Bro.
I am currently switching back and forth from steel to Dobro on stage.
I was using a regular Match-Bro on stage years ago without your BB, but I sold it.
I am wanting to use the Goodrich Super Match-Bro to switch to the Dobro sound when
in the middle of the tune.

As of now I have the steel going to the "IN"
on the BB, and the "OUT" going to my Hilton
pedal.
What would be the best way to connect the BB
to the Goodrich Super Match-Bro.
Do you see any problems using Goodrich Super Match-Bro with the BB.

Thanks,
GP

Glenn, while I can't speak for Brad technically, I use the BB with my Matchbro (original version) and I always place the BB first in the queue, -- IE: guitar > BB > Matchbro > Vol pedal. Works very well and sounds great.

Hi Glenn. Well I dont have any experience with that setup. But my inclination would be to do exactly what Paddy recommends. I'd recommend always keeping the BB first so the pickup coil can directly interact with the tube. After that BB stage, it's all up to experimentation. Trust your ears.

However I did run into one exception to that "rule". I have a Voodoo Labs Superfuzz pedal that's like a fancy Fuzz Face type distortion. That pedal seems to like to go first, before the BB, so the Fuzz circuit can "see" the pickup. Since that pedal has a true bypass switch on it, when the pedal is off, there is nothing hindering the pickup/tube relationship. I would not do that with a pedal without a true bypass switch in it though.

Let us know what you find.

Thanks,
Brad
