Nashville 112 purchase

Well I done it today, ordered a new 112 from Steel Guitar Nashville and hope to get it maybe by Friday. Walter, you won't believe how great this little amp sounds! It is extremely lightweight, and loud as can be. I can't imagine ever needing a louder amp. I am seriously pleased with mine(bought at Scotty's). JimP

THANKS TO DANNY AND DEBBIE AT BOBBE SEYMOURS, I GOT MY AMP ONE DAY AFTER ORDERING IT. I REALLY THOUGHT IT WOULD TAKE MORE THAN ONE DAY FOR IT TO GO ABOUT 300 MILES.
BEEN TRYING IT OUT AND IT IS PLENTY LOUD ENOUGH. IT'S A LOT LIGHTER THAN MY VEGAS'S OR THE N400. THE TONE SOUNDS GOOD TOO. I THINK I AM GOING TO BE USING IT MOST OF THE TIME PRIMARILY BECAUSE OF THE WEIGHT. WHEN YOU'VE BEEN TOTE'N ONE OF THE HEAVIER ONES AROUND FOR ABOUT 25 YEARS, YOU APPRECIATE A LIGHTER ONE.

Is the n'ville 112 the same amp as the TRANSTUBE 112 ? If so I just recently gt oneand I think it isthe best amp I have ever had. I really like the weight too!! 34 and a half lbs. Bob H.

I do not know. Someone else will have to answer that question. But I will say that the more I have been sitting at this N112, the more I like it. The tone may or may not be different from other amps but what I hear, I would not trade back to the others for it. I honestly think I like the sound of this amp better than any I have ever had and I have used different ones over the years. I can say this, that when I played the steel I have set up for practice, this amp sounds much, much more cleaner and clearer than the V400 or the N400 I've been using.

Thanks a lot. I feel the same way about this amp..I feel like I am getting the sounds like I want them to sound.It evenmakes my Maverick sound fuller, more body. And the professional sounded good before , but now, WOW what tone. Bob H.

Everything about the Nashville 112 is different from the Bandit, ie; eq, speaker, cabinet, reverb, etc..

I had the N400 modified several years back and that may be the reason I am hearing a different tone in the amps. If it is, I wish I had not had the modification done.
Anyway, there is a big difference in the tone of the N400 and N112 and I like the N112 much more.

I too, own a Nashville 112. I really like it and it's quite portable too! Has anyone out there used it as a 6-string electric guitar amp? Just wondering if it would double as a regular guitar amp. In either case, it's a good steel amp. I have a Nashville 112, 1000, and an Evans SE-200.

I too have the N112..via a RV3..great. Question..for Mike Brown..I recently replaced the RV3 with a Roland 1000 Digital Delay..(recently)for about a week now..I get a single "Pop" sound after about 5 seconds through the amp...after and amp is turned on..and I apply power to the Roland. I get the delayed Pop. Am I harming the Amp with this Pop?

The same thing use happen when i turned my amp on. I was told to turn on the RV-3 or other effects first before turning the power to the amp. Now it don't pop.

The Nashville 112 really is great.
I play E9 , fiddle , guitar and lap through it and they all sound great!!! This is my first "Steel" amp and hopefully
my one and only.

Just sold the two Vegas 400's. They are good but can't equal the tone or light weight of the N112. The group I play with were making comments about how good it sounded and could not believe the power it had.I Wanted to try it out at a big outside show Saturday but I didn't get to, but next month I will, I hope.

Try to keep things into perspective when using the Nashville 112 in an outdoor application. The 112 is an 80 watt amplifier and when performing outdoors, please run direct or mic the amp, then use the amp for monitoring purposes only. Eighty watts can be used up especially when hitting low frequency notes.

The Nashville 112 has received rave reviews, but was designed and intended for indoor and/or low level applications. However, this model has turned out to be the "sleeper" and has exceeded expectations.

Please be aware that 80 watts is not 210 watts and a player could run out of headroom in large, outdoor applications.

Yes, but wow! Mike Brown, it's the loudest 80 watts I've ever heard. It is my number one amp that I use almost 100% of the time, recording or live. My main reason for using this amp is the weight, size, dependability, cost and most of all, the wonderful tone.
Tommy White just paid full price for his 112 and claims to be using it in all his sessions. What a lucky amp to have him playing through it!
In the last year, we have sold several hundred 112s to very contented steel players.
Best product we have ever had the honor to stock. We always try to keep at least a dozen in stock. Anyone need a dozen?

"Proof is in the pudding", as they say. Many players have purchased the Nashville 112 and it is apparently working for them. So, I'd say, "go for it" if you are in the market. The complete amp design has been amazing! The bottom line is the "sound". So, if you have any doubt about the Nashville 112's abilities, try it for yourself at your nearest Peavey dealer.

I understand the headroom issue, but how loud do some of you guys play? I have used a Deluxe for 10 years in clubs( for 6 string) and have never miked it indoors. I use the Deluxe or a 50 watt Hellhound outdoors, and mike it. The NV112 would drown out my whole band in any normal bar or club that we play! It has the XLR out, why would you need bigger or louder? JimP

Is Tommy White using the standard Blue Marvel speaker,or did he have it swapped out with the Black Widow? Just curious. I thought the Blue Marvel sounded pretty good down at Bobbe's shop.

A friend and me was discussing the Peavey amps recently and he commented how that Peavey has stuck with us steel players over the years. I do not know of another major company that has done this for us. Why would we even want to use another brand.

Hey Guys, I played a job Saturday afternoon for the NTSGA in Nashville,..Bobby Bowman was kind enough to let me play through his 112's. I played through 2 of them coming out of my PODxt using one for the left channel and one for the right channel. I set both amps on 3...thats all I needed. Absolute Fat,great sound.
