What is an original, not-clean, broken tuner knobs, pickup works, Rickenbaker frypan worth in today's market?

$2K seems to be the standard "line of demarkation" for a six string prewar.

This one here fits the criteria - plus an extra string . . http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=3742584077&ssPageName=ST RK:MEWA:IT
looks like it's pretty nice condition.

Don't forget the one that went for $2,500 and another for $5200 just a year or so back.

I own a PreWar FryPan. I bought it about 5 years ago off e-bay for just over 1000.oo.
I would buy again for under that prize but I would not sell under 6000.oo (today) and here is my reasoning: The FryPan is not just a great sounding instrument with some vintage touch to it. It is the first production electric guitar in history. Collectors will find out (or are slowly finding out) and I still predict that the prizes will soar... and so will mine.

But what others stated is correct... current base value is 2000.oo +.
