My Nashville 400 amp gets heavier every day. I wish I could find a lighter amp. Maybe a single rackspace and 12"/15" spk.
I use a Lexicon 110 effects unit and never run my NV400 gains past 50%.
The Carvin DCM150 looks close to what I could use,if run in the bridge mode, but it doesn't have EQ controls.
I don't want to spend a fortune on equipment.
Has anyone found a light weight solution?

Try a 112 Nvl. I play loud and hard gigs, and every one so far that I use only my 400 on, the 112 has cut just fine. The Double amp gigs I used to use my 500 and 400 on I now use the 400 and the 112.

It's got a good lowZ out, and has the best crisp sound I've heard.

I'd suggest trying one first.

Probably the best if your high vol gigs are through a PA.

Craig, the se200 weighs 48 lbs and sells for $1500. Thanks for the suggestion, but I can't handle a deal like that. hmmmm,$31/lb.

John,
See another post by Gary Philips related to this exact topic...split amp cabinets.
He will make two cabinets for you so you can convert your NV400 to seperate head and speaker cabinets.

Thanks Tony, I did see that. It might work. Have to get out the old scales and do some weighing. I have a shop where I can make stuff for myself (I'm sure Gary can do a better job).
